WEBFly cutter isnt such an issue for the 440. The Shear hog is a good tool (basically an older design that is similar to the ripper mill/Korloy item mentioned earlier). The common thread here is single cutting edge. Personally I try to keep the rpm in the 6000+ range for everything I do on the 440.

Softer material is always easier. A good all around face mill for this machine is a 3" with standard inserts or a 4" with high shear inserts. All my small knee mills have 1", 2", 3" and 4" face mills set up on R8 shanks.
